Old Palm Golf Club’s Signature Course

With six carefully placed tees on every hole, there are delights and challenges to please literally every golfer under the sun: The further back you play, the harder the course as more water comes into play.

There’s beauty, too. Raymond Floyd outdid himself, as he worked with and complemented the natural contours of the land. While there’s continuity throughout, the front plays like a classic open Florida golf course with its wide fairways, the back holes seem more like North Carolina as we play down the shoots surrounded by a dense canopy of towering pines.

Then, too, there’s the “Bye Hole”, an homage to the game’s Scottish heritage. With a green surrounded by water, this short but extremely challenging hole will surely test your shot- making. Hit or miss, it’s the perfect place for a post-round wager. On “Pub Nights,” the Club sets up a hitting mat on the event lawn behind the clubhouse. “Members love to fire balls at the green at night after a couple of beers,” says Raymond Floyd, a sometime participant in the festivities. “People sure do know how to have a good time at Old Palm.”

Yet even as we try to break our personal best, we can’t help but notice the glory of nature all around us: Old Palm provides panoramic vistas that make each round of golf an exciting new adventure.

Old Palm offers everything you’ve been looking for – and a No Tee Time policy to boot. So at your convenience, step up to the tee, take a deep breath, listen to birdsong breaking the natural silence, gaze down a beautiful fairway surrounded by nature, and feel thankful that life is this good.
